Colin Mackay hails from the costal town of Buckie in the North East of Scotland. Colin’s musical career began at age eight, when his Dad bought him his first guitar on holiday in Spain. Colin claims that he’s just getting the hang of it now! He reached National acclaim at the tender age of 16 being placed third out of 600 entrants, writing and performing his own songs in the TSB Rock School competition. Since then Colin has never stopped writing and performing, he is currently recording new material to follow up on his “Handle with Care” release, which is attracting industry interest. When asked where the inspiration comes from Colin says:

“Well when I was playing covers, I sometimes would forget the lyrics, so I’d just make up my own, sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn’t!!!!!!!!!!!! When it did, I would keep mine coz I thought they were better! Seriously, just for a second, the best stuff I write usually happens very fast, “Handle With Care” only took 15mins max, sometimes a melody comes first, sometimes a lyric, but it’s gotta come from the soul, then hopefully you make a connection, usually best time going in and out of relationships!!!!!!!!!!!
